Cost of Diabetes
According to the CDC, more than 30 million people in the United States have diabetes, and 1 in 4 of them don’t know they have it. New research released by the American Diabetes Association in 2018 estimates that the total costs of diagnosed diabetes have risen to $327 billion ($237 billion direct medical costs and $90 billion in reduced productivity), which represents a 26% increase in cost since 2012.
