Topic: Low Sodium Cooking

Educator: Linda Ankner, CDCES

February is American Heart Month, a time to raise awareness about heart health and the steps we can take to protect our hearts. At the Diabetes Association of Atlanta (DAA), we are committed to helping our community build healthier habits and reduce the risk of heart-related complications.

People living with diabetes are at a higher risk for heart disease and other cardiovascular complications. The good news is that prevention and education can make a powerful difference. By improving nutrition, managing blood sugar, and adopting heart-healthy habits, individuals can lower their risk of serious complications.

To support you on your health journey, we are hosting a W.O.W. Wednesday Wellness Webinar focused on Low Sodium Cooking for Heart Health. This session will share practical tips, simple recipes, and strategies to reduce sodium while keeping meals flavorful and diabetes-friendly.
