Being Active

With regular and appropriate exercise, blood sugar levels can be lowered. Exercise has the additional benefit of lower cholesterol, improving body mass index, strengthening the heart and improving circulation. Exercise for those persons with pre-diabetes may assist in delaying development of type 2 diabetes. Always discuss with your doctor and/or diabetes educator your planned exercise routine prior to commencing your exercise program.
